Rafting Sarapiqui River Class IV

Overview

Sarapiqui River is one of the best rivers In Costa Rica to practice rafting, which is enjoyed by dozens of people daily.

This tour departs from the individual hotels of La Fortuna to pick up each of our clients, then heading toward the town of San Miguel, Sarapiquí, where the journey will begin. Along the way we will pass through towns such as Muelle, Aguas Zarcas and Venecia, the drive takes about 1 hour.

Once we arrive at the river, our specialized guides will give you a complete briefing including the techniques we utilize in rafting and the safety measures to follow during the adventure. The river put in is in San Miguel, the upper section of the Sarapiqui River, where the class IV rapids are located; then we will end in a section of Class III rapids. We will take a break to enjoy some tropical fruit along the river banks.

After the adventure, our minivan will be waiting to take you to the place you can change your clothes and savor a traditional Costa Rican meal. Finally, we will head straight back to La Fortuna and your hotel.

Important Notes

Rates per person and include taxes (13%). USD.
The pick up time at the hotel will be from 30 to 15 minutes before the tour.
Children under 10 are not allowed.

Extra transport charge for hotels outside the main area (1-8 pax):
A - Lost Iguana, Observatory Lodge, Arenal Lodge and The Springs Resort: $15 (one-way) or $30 (roundtrip).
B - Rancho Margot, Linda Vista del Norte, Arenal Vista Lodge, Tilajari: $20 (one-way) or $40 (roundtrip).
