{"id":289,"date":"2019-08-27T03:49:16","date_gmt":"2019-08-27T03:49:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fortunawelcome.com\/blog\/?p=289"},"modified":"2024-07-22T18:11:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-22T18:11:36","slug":"can-you-really-see-sloths-in-la-fortuna-costa-rica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fortunawelcome.com\/blog\/can-you-really-see-sloths-in-la-fortuna-costa-rica\/","title":{"rendered":"Can you really see sloths in La Fortuna Costa Rica?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have visited many spots here in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, looking for a great photo of some sloth.<\/p>\n<p>During my first tour I could see 8 of them, <strong>3 two-toed sloths<\/strong> and <strong>5 three-toed sloths<\/strong>. With a normal camera or cell phone, it is almost impossible to get a decent photo, you need a longer focal length lens(300mm at least) or attach your camera to a spotting scope, unless you can have the chance to see a sloth close to you, which is quite difficult in their natural environment.
