Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge

Overview

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is a nature lovers Paradise, located just an hour and a half from La Fortuna, San Carlos in the district of Los Chiles, just 5 km from the Nicaraguan border.

During a three hour boat ride, we will observe an immense variety of traditional fauna and flora. Caño Negro is a Paradise for bird watching, but you can also spot caiman, three types of monkeys, lizards, and even bats, among others.

During the tour, you will discover many details of the flora and fauna of one of the most biodiverse places in the continent. A bilingual guide will answer any of your questions to make your trip as enriching as possible.

After the trip through the river we will have a delicious lunch to be the perfect end to a complete adventure.

Important Notes

Rates per person and include taxes (13%). USD.
The pick up time at the hotel will be from 30 to 15 minutes before the tour.
Children rates apply from 5 to 12 years old.

Please add $20 per person if the pick up is at Observatory Lodge, Arenal Lodge or Linda Vista hotel.
