Tour information

This impressive project is located within a marvelous rainforest reserve, of over 250 hectares of protected land.

You will be immersed in a paradise, and walking 2 miles long of trails including 16 bridges. Six of the bridges are suspension bridges; all of them have been spectacularly designed to provide extreme safety and an incomparable adventure at the same time. You will admire the rainforest from the ground (like a jaguar), from an average height (like a monkey), and from the tops of the tallest trees (like an eagle). Maximum slope 8% in lower, 6% rise.

One of the bridges is called the "Waterfall Bridge", it is 197ft. high. Another one is known as the "Tyra Bridge" and it is 322ft. long. This is for you to have an idea of the nature adventure that is waiting for you.

In this flora and fauna paradise, you can discover:

- Around 250 different bird species such as: the White Hawk, Great Curassow, Rufous Motmot, Rufous-tailed Jacamar, Black-throated Trogon, and many others.
- Many reptiles, for example, the Fer-de-lance snake, Boa, Basilisk Lizards, glass frog, and poisonous dart frog.
- Amazing mammals, including howler monkeys, spider monkeys, tyras, coatimundis, white-colored wild boars, and three-toed sloth.
- Thousands of insects, some of them are: butterflies, vivid beetles, amazing leaf-cutter ants, and artistic spiders.

The total hike takes almost 2 hours, so, bring your hiking shoes, a camera and join this awesome trip to the forest.

We were skeptical about having a guided tour through the Hanging Bridges, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. Our guide, Alvaro, was knowledgable, patient, and paced us perfectly throughout. We learned so much about the various flora and fauna, and would have missed so much without Alvaro. Definitely recommend!

We loved our guide, Steven, on the hanging bridges tour. He was very knowledgeable and pointed out many animals we would not have seen if we were on our own. He also described the different plants, trees and flowers around us. It was all very interesting and we really enjoyed the tour.

You will learn so much about the rain forest environment on this tour. It really is educational and our guide was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the animals, reptiles, insects and flora/fauna. The hanging bridges were not as adventurous as I hoped but still a great experience. I would highly recommend going in the morning. A fair amount of uphill walking is involved so be aware o f that factor.

A lot of uphill walking, but so unusual and just awesome looking down. We crossed several hanging bridges, very sturdy even though they move. Our wonderful guide pointed out the various animals and fauna. Very much worth the money.

We took the tour and were collected on time by the tour operator direct from our hotel.
The transfer to tour was about 20 mins
Our guide was very informative about the forest and creatures in the forest although his English was not so good.
It is a nicely laid out trail through forest and canopy with some small bridges but also some very big ones that stretch out quite a dist ance and are extremely high. Some of the bridges only took 10 people at a time to reduce them swaying. Don’t worry if you have a fear for heights because being up in the tree tops reduces the feeing of acrophobia.
It was a lovely tour but unfortunately did not see much wildlife as we got lots of rain (as to be expected being in the rain forest) but the forest itself is amazing. They also took us to a lovely waterfall in the forest.
The only downside was that it was a bit rushed and although he did say let me know if you want to take pictures we felt that when we stopped we then got left behind .
