Tour information

A great way to visit the well-known “La Fortuna Waterfall” is by riding a horse through the forest and farms.

Properly trained Horses are assigned according to your riding experience, so, it does not mind if you have done it before or not. You will have the chance to learn and having fun.

After an important safety talk, a guide will take you for a pleasant horseback riding trip of about an hour; next, you will be hiking through the forest and steps for 20 minutes to get to the base of this beautiful waterfall. We loved our horseback riding tour! It was a great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I was a little nervous riding a horse for the first time, but the guide gave me some great tips on how to ride/ The waterfall was absolutely stunning, and we would definitely do this again!

If you're looking for a horse ride on cruise control this one may be for you.
But not if you have a bit more experience and like to be in control.
Most of the horses won't move forward (even with strong heal kicks) until
they ear the voice of the guide or get a whiplash from the guide on their butts, which makes them to run for a couple of seconds and then slow gear.
Ev ery now and then the guide whistles and the horses will speed... some are trying to catch up to other horses and go in between others. I have seen some collisions between horses and two ladies who suffered from a knee to knee collision.
A portion of the ride (~20%) is on a paved street (asphalt and concrete) ... not cool. And it was steep, so horses were sliding (when going down) so not so good feeling.
Positive side: the guide was really kind and friendly. We crossed 2 little rivers with the horses, with steep slopes before and after.
